Born Anakin Skywalker, a force sensitive human, he was raised to become a heroic Jedi Knight. However after Skywalker’s wife, Senator Padme Amidala, fell pregnant he began to see visions of his wife’s demise during childbirth. In an attempt to protect his wife and their unborn child Skywalker was driven to the dark side of the Force as a Sith Lord named Darth Vader. Darth led the Empire’s eradication of the Jedi Order under the service of the Emperor, the evil Darth Sidious, enforcing his Master’s will and seeking to crush the Rebel Alliance.
